Executive Director: Ashely Bayliss-White

Ashley is a seasoned foster parent and kinship mom. She is excellent at connecting with caregivers, encouraging them to advocate for their and their children’s needs. Ashley has a huge heart for the work that Foster Champs does supporting the whole family. She’s got the big ideas and knows the people to help turn dreams into reality.

President: Heather Scheeter

This mountain mover has been active with Foster Champs for over a year and has served on many committees. Heather is a headstrong business owner of Green Dog Grooming in Kent. She has a unique way of connecting with teens and young adults, she brings many ideas, resources, and connections to our families and programs. Heather is a dedicated foster mother providing a home to displaced teens in our local community.

Vice President: Elaine Ogden

Elaine brings everyone peace and calmness. Elaine has been a foster parent since 2018 and especially loves making sure children and their caregivers feel connected and cared for. Before volunteering with Foster Champs, Elaine worked six years as a Children, Youth, and Family Minister at a local church. This experience makes her adept at community building, welcoming, and connecting our children and families.

Treasurer: Geannie Meckler

Geannie s a successful businesswoman and owner-operator of A Consistent Cleaning Experience. She served as the treasurer of the Emerald Hills PTA between 2012 - 2014, turning a a PTO into a successful, thriving, award-winning PTA. She will help guide Foster Champs as it grows with the same love and passion she shared for the PTA. She has been a kinship mom and has experience supporting foster youth as a visitation specialist.

Secretary: Maggie Baldridge

Maggie is a tactful and organized leader in the community. She is the non-profit director of Elijah’s Hope, a clean and sober living facility serving South King County. She brings a lot of knowledge about running a non-profit successfully and has a wealth of experience in grant writing and fundraising. She is also a doting Memaw to her grandchildren and a caring and supportive friend.

Member at Large: Michele Gurr

Michele is a passionate and organized community leader. In Foster Champs, she pulls together large gatherings for our holiday parties and events. She’s excellent at making connections, thinking outside the box, and planning things out in an organized and logical way. She works as a successful Real Estate Agent with John L Scott.
